Limiting storage size for client backup

I'm working on an enterprise backup solution for our company that would allow the users to backup up to 2GB of data to our servers (to disk backup then to tape). So far, I've been unable to determine how DPM decides where to cut off the data (alphabetical order? Largest to smallest?) I need to know this before implementing anything like this, and I need to know if there is a way to alert the user either via email or through the agent to let them know they've reached or crossed their limit.
Any ideas?

Hi,
DPM does not have a client disk quota limit. On the Allocate Storage page of the wizard there is a place to set a size per computer, but this setting will not limit the size once backups have begun and is only a setting for the creation of the replica volume.
