    Hi,

What gets included in a systemstate backup is determined by the System VSS writer.

The following is what is included in systemstate by default:

    System State Data
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc785306(WS.10).aspx

There may circumstance when a service is installed and it adds it's data to be backed up by the system writer.   If you run diskshadow.exe  then "list writers", look at the output of the system writer to see if the directory in question is listed.

If you find it listed, you can exclude the path to the data by installing this hotfix and adding the ExcludedBinaryPaths registry key.
