How I can chage URL of a link

    Question

  • This is the menu bar on sharepoint site. I want to change url of Timetable 2013 to any other url. How i can change this url.

Can I do this from UI of sharepoint or i should manage this in code.

These links are not given in Navigation structure. This is a static toolbar attached with all the main menus.

    Regards

  • It appears you have done some custom branding, as part of this you probably have a custom navigation provider. Check your masterpage code in the asp menu section, then check the web config file for the web app and you should see an entry reflecting the file specifying these links and it's location.
And this will most likely be a code managed link, I would look to see what solutions you have that are generating the menus source file that you find in the web config. I have done this in the past with timer jobs. But, everybody does things differently.

  • You can do this with the help of simple jquery which will run on Page Load and will set the URL of the component you want to.

Check out how to implement the jquery to change the URL properties at the run time.

  • Hi,

I find that link is defined in custom.master page. I download the page and make the suitable changes. How I can put this page back to sharepoint site.

This page is in Site Action->Site Settings -> Under Gallery tab -> master page and page layouts.

But in that window, there is no option to upload that that.Guide me so that solve this issue.
