TaskBarLinks Unattend Office 2013

    Question

  • Hi,

We have been using MDT 2012 U1 to deploy windows 8 x64, and I have been looking around to see how to pin items to the taskbar of windows 8 for all users, I see that there are scripts that do this, but I would like to do this using the Unattend.xml, I am aware of the limitations for how many items you can pin via the taskbarlinks but do these limitations apply to windows 8 as it did for win7? how would I go about adding office 2013 items in the taskbar links settings in the unattend.xml file? Can someone tell me what I need to adjust to this path to make it work for 2013.

    <Link0>%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office\Microsoft Outlook 2013.lnk</Link0>

    Thanks,

    Bob

  • On my install (which I think is pretty default), the folders and link name are a bit different, so it would be:

    <Link0>%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office 2013\Outlook 2013.lnk</Link0>
