Document Pemission

    Question

  • I have  document Library having 3 folders  named "Test1" ,"Test2" and "Test3".In Test 3 , all users upload their own project report. Is it possible that when each user goes into "Test3 Folder " they just see documents uploaded or created by them but not by others.they still should be able to see "Test1" & "Test2".

    Thanks

  • Hi adk, yes, you can set permissions up that way. You can set it up by adding content types for each user so that you can automatically filter based on the person. Then create per-person views or permissions based on the content type.

  • Forgot another way you could tackle this: if you have access to SharePoint Designer, you could also create a workflow to send each user's uploaded document to a new, personal folder or library that only they have access to.
