FIMMA di/ ds getting stuck

    Question

  • For some reason, FIMMA di or ds is getting stuck. During this time period, the password change is not also not working. We have to do a FIM sync service or server restart to get the di or ds working. Any idea why this is happening? Also, is there a way that we can track fimma di running for a longer time (more than 5 mins or so)?

    What is your FIM version number?

    To track the duration time of an MA, you can use WMI

    Get-WmiObject -Query "Select * from MIIS_RunHistory Where MaName='FIM MA' AND RunStatus='running'" -
    Namespace root/MicrosoftIdentityIntegrationServer

    If you found a result, you can compare the 'RunStartTime' with the current time to determine if it exceed more than X mins ( and if condition match, do what you want).

    You can put this in a script and launch it with a scheduled task every X mins.
