OlapQueryLog table did not get created on designated database, why?

  • hi there, I did follow the instructions to turn on the logging for cube queries on the server level.

    Do I need to restart analysis service in order to make it happen?  


    --Currently using Reporting Service 2000; Visual Studio .NET 2003; Visual Source Safe SSIS 2008 SSAS 2008, SVN --

  • I found the cause, when set up the connection  manager, the provider has to be MS OLE DB provider for sql server, the default one is sql server native client 11.0

    hope this piece to be added to the technical reference...
