Why is SEHOP disabled in Vista by default in system configurations? Is it unsafe to turn it on?

    Hi,

A small number of applications are incompatible with SEHOP. Breaking even 2% of existing legacy applications is probably unacceptable to the decision makers so it was disabled. SEHOP is completely safe for the Microsoft Vista+ operating systems. There is a small probability of incompatibility for user-installed applications. I would recommend that you enable SEHOP and run your favorite programs. If there are no problems then leave it enabled.
