Using Microsoft Application Verifier for determining EMET settings?

Proposed Answer Using Microsoft Application Verifier for determining EMET settings?

By coincidence I came across the Microsoft Application Verifier in the Microsoft Download Center (it's also included in the Windows SDK for Windows 7).

As I understand from the Overview information it can be used among other things to detect memory corruptions.

Therefore I was wondering if Application Verifier could be of some assistance in determining the incompatible EMET settings (DEP, SEHOP, etc.) for a program. Or is the information provided by Application Verifier too technical for an end user?

    Kind regards,

    Brtj

    Hi Brtj,

I believe that wouldn't be possible even for an advanced user. There are a few EMET mitigations to which Application Verifier wouldn't apply.

    Thanks,
