    Good Afternoon,

I have a pivot table reading information from a data sheet, with all the relevant details on.

I can setup the pivot table but need to understand how i can restrict a filter box.

I have a filter box for CSM. 1 for Manager and 1 for agent.

Is there anyway i can restrict the manager filter to only show the names under that particular CSM and if possible in the main body of the pivot table for all the team names relevant to the manager to show.

If need be i can send / attach a demo of the file i am working on

I am using Excel 2007 at home and 2003 at work so it needs to be used mainly on 2003 Excel.

    Many Thanks

    Hi,

The filter box you mentioned is a Slicer, right?

If you want to show all the team names relevant to the manager, you can make the table contains these two columns: Manager and Relevant_Team. Manager column is the name of the Manager. And  Relevant_Team column is the team names relevant to this Manager. After filter the Manager, the relevant team names will show also. (Since you only use Excel 2003 and 2007, if you use Excel 2010, you can create a table of Manager and the other table of Relevant_Team, then use PowerPivot to make a reference between these two tables. It is more convenient.)

I am not very clear about “only show the names under that particular CSM”. I am wondering that what the content in the Manager column is. Not the name?
