Answered compile error in hidden module: deskUtil

    Yesterday Excel & PowerPnt would not open due to 'missing MSVCR90.dll'........uninstalled and installed 2010 in 64 bit mode........then Word, Powerpnt & Onenote starts as expected but Excel have to comment 'compile error in hidden module: deskUtil'......both at start and shutdown............??

    Open your project and check which line is failure.

    If does automatically when Excel start, You can check sturtup directory: c:\Users\<profile>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\

    And remove files from them.
