Excel 2010 crashes when copying and pasting from another location to a spreadsheet

Hi all,
I have a problem whereby when i try to copy data from an external location (for example a web page) to a spreadsheet in Excel 2010 it crashes. This has happened on a number of ocassions and on a number of different machines. I've checked the event logs and can find nothing that could help me diagnose the problem. The program crash is present in the Event Log but is of no help whatsoever.
If anyone has any insight at all into why this could be happening i would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,
It’s worth trying starting Excel in safe mode (Excel.exe /safe) to see if the issue can be reproduced.
If not, disable all the add-ins in Excel to see if the issue can be fixed.
I haven’t encountered crashes when copy the contents from web pages, but some slow copy and paste cases:

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you test it with a fresh installed computer to verify if the issues is caused by some third party programs.
