Excel 2010 - time field imported as 0

I have many Excel files that use MS query to bring in data from an AS400. Many of these were created in Excel 2003, work just fine in Excel 2007, but are a problem in Excel 2010. Imported time fields (hh:mm:ss) look fine in the MS query, but come over to the Excel sheet as a 0. The column gets formatted automatically as time, but the value in every cell is 0. It is not a problem with the first record brought over, and not a formatting problem.
I've seen very similar posts in this forum with time fields imported from other sources, other database types, but I haven't seen an explanation and solution posted yet.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

Hi mushroomhunter
Have you tried taking Query out of the equation? I know if it works it's not a solution, but it would help us pinpoint the next step to take.
Please remember to mark this as "answer" if it resolves/answers your issue.
