Exchange 2010 RTM to SP2

I'm preparing to upgrade Exchange 2010 from RTM to SP2, and I get a warning about the Recipient Update Service not being found.
I assume this is because we upgraded to 2010 from 2003, and there are still remnants of 2003? Is this something I need to be concerned about?
Everything I've read about remedying the issue refer to previous versions of Exchange (Using System Manager, etc). Is there a way I can clear the remnants of 2003 to make this go away, or is it not even a concern?

If you still haven#t got 2003 anymore then you can create an EAP in (Email address policy) exchange 2010.
You can continue with the install.

Saturday, March 03, 2012 5:01 PMWhat will the EAP do? Will it be required to create after installing SP2 for everything to continue working properly?

It will manage your email stamping for recipients.

The upgrade to SP2 will continue, this is just a warning.
Also see Managing E-Mail Address Policies for more info on EAPs in 2010.

Monday, March 05, 2012 8:33 PMI've done the upgrade to SP2 from SP1 on over a 20 systems without any issues. So I would not recommend going though the work needed to setup a second MBX server and then moving mailboxes to it.
