Answered How long does an archive policy take effect? exchange 2010 SP2

    I enabled an archive mailbox on exchange 2010 sp2

    And from out look I set the folder policy to "1 year", I didn't see any older (than 1 year) items move to archive mailbox.

    Does it need a period to take effect?

    Hi,

    I think it runs during the night but you can trigger it tho:

    To start the Managed Folder Assistant for a particular mailbox:
    Start-ManagedFolderAssistant –Mailbox awestwood

    To start the Assistant on a server:
    Start-ManagedFolderAssistant –Identity <EXSRV>
