I would like to count the mailbox in the mixed mode enivirnment with ex2010 and ex2003.
Currently am doing it manually running the power shell command in exchange 2010 Power shell
Get-MailboxDatabase | Get-Mailbox | Export-Csv C:\Mbx.csv and count the rows manually
and for 2003,
i open the ex2010 Exchange 2010 managment console and -->recipeient Configuration --> Create Filter -->Database --> Equal to --> Exchnage 2003 database --Apply filter
It shows the count of the mailbox in the Right Top.
Is there any way to find the mailbox count alone correctly on both the exchnage 2010 and 2003 Mbx . I mean any script or command ..or any easy way to find out.

You can run this command in powershell to get a count of all mailboxes per exchange 2010 mailbox server:
Get-Mailbox | Group-Object -Property:ServerName | Select-Object name,count
to get a count of mailboxes per database in the Exchange organization.
Get-Mailbox | Group-Object -Property:Database | Select-Object name,count
For exchange 2003, you can use ESM and drill down to the databases, from there you can see all the mailboxes and you can export to a txt file.

I am not sure if the 2 commands will return the exchange 2003 info but you can run those commands above for Exchange 2010 and below is a link for getting the Exchange 2003 info as well.
