Dear all,
I finished 2003 to 2010 migration recently and running RTM version and planning to upgrade. Now our linux guy has brought CAS SSO solution which requires OWA web.config file to be edited to implement SSO. i am waiting for the memory up gradation to upgrade to SP2 in two months time.
below link is for configuring CAS SSO for OWA
https://wiki.jasig.org/display/CAS/CASifying+Outlook+Web+Access+2010
My concern is, if i edit web.config file for SSO , would this affect the OWA after i upgrade to SP2. If that is the case what action i need to take before editing we.config file

Just to let you know, Exchange 2010 RTM support has been discontinued.
Take a backup of web.config file and than make the changes. It's hard to say, if it will create any issues. As far as I know, I haven't seen any.

Hi
From sp2 release note : If you’re using redirection for Outlook Web App and aren’t requiring Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), redirection will fail after the Client Access server is upgraded to Exchange 2010 SP2. To avoid this problem, after you’ve completed the upgrade to Exchange 2010 SP2, modify the Outlook Web App web.config file. For directions, go to “Use IIS Manager and Notepad to simplify the Outlook Web App URL when SSL isn’t required” in Simplify the Outlook Web App URL. You don’t have to make any changes in IIS Manager to prevent redirection from failing. You just have to modify the web.config file.

It is hard to say whether it will affect sp3 function. You had better backup cas server and web.config file.Terence Yu
