    Hello.

I am install exchange 2010 with exchnage 2003.

After the transfer of all (approximately 30) mailboxes with e 2003 to e 2010 store.exe process was to hold about 8 GB of ram in the server. However, inform others processes of memory is occupied by 98% (according to resource monitor). Total 12GB of memory in the server, OS windows 2008 r2 x64.

File edb (database) on the drive takes about 8 GB.

While the new server have been transferred, not all boxes of the flow ram I did not notice.

All users are working with the server via OWA.

What do I do? How can comment on this situation?

By design, memory allocation in Exchange 2010 (as well as 2007) is dynamic (cache, etc) and depends on a number of things. When needed, Exchange will return memory to the system.

When you really must, you can limit the memory usage by restricting the maximum cache size as follows:

    Using ADSIEDIT, go to:

    Configuration > Services > Microsoft Exchange > <ORGNAME> > Administrative Groups > Exchange Administrative Group (..) > Servers > <SERVERNAME> > InformationStore

There, right-click Information Store, and edit msExchESEParamCacheSizeMax .

For more information on configuring this value and how to calculate which value to use, check out this article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691304%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx

Be advised that Exchange 2010 works with 32k pages, so you need to divide by 32 in the formula. Also, end-user performance may be degraded when limiting the cache size.

Thank you for pointing out the 32k page thing!  I have been fighting this for months without any luck, but of course based on 8k pages!
