    Thanks all for your help.

I'm testing migration of exchange 2003 to exchange 2010.

During testing, I found that Outlook 2010 alway enable the below setting:

    - Outlook profile--> more setting-->Connection --> Outlook Anywhere--> Connect to Microsoft Exchange using Http

And in the Exchange Proxy Setting, it always point the url to the exchange 2003 owa server like: https://owa.test.com instead of the exchange 2010 cas server https://cas01.test.com

    Question:

    1. why this setting enabled automatically?

    2. why it point to the old exchange 2003 owa server url?

    3. How can I control it?

    Thanks again.

    Patrick

This seems to be almost the same as your problem, except for it being exchange 2007 to 2010:

    Hi Patrick,

So you have Exchange 2010 server existed in your environment, right? If this is the case, then:

    1. Outlook 2010 with mailbox resided in Exchange 2010 server can  use Autodiscover service to update Outlook profile automatically. That's why it is enabled automatically.

    2. Autodiscover update Outlook profile based on your organization configuration. It is very likely that your Exchange 2010 server has enabled Outlook Anywhere but the URL is pointing to Exchange 2003 OWA url.

    3. Disable Outlook anywhere on Exchange 2010 server, Or correct it's configuration.

Thanks for your help, Fiona and Valveco.

You are right, the Outlook anywhere configuration is wrong.

    Thanks again.

    Hi

I have went through line by line and I have my configuration set right.  I have confirmed every setting including all certificate settings.  Yet I cannot get prevent users profiles from changing to using Outlook Anywhere by checking "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using Http".

Can you tell me what I would lose by disabling Autodiscover?

    Thanks
