Hi all,
Exchange 2010 SP1
We just implemented several dynamic groups and now the issue is:
messages will not move to the specified folder when creating a Outlook 2010 rule based on a dynamic goups when messgaes arrive.
Is this supposed to be?
Thank you.

Hi SGryzbowski,
Could you please post the Outlook rule here?
Please correct me if I did something wrong of my test:
Outlook 2010->Rules wizard->Apply this rule after the message arrives
From DDGname
Move it to the specified folder
The result:
If a member of DDG(From:Sender) send a mail to the recipient, the mail won't be moved to the folder.
If a member of DDG send as DDG(From:DDGname), the mail will be moved to the folder.
Please note: I test it in Exchange 2010 SP2 ru3. If necessary, I will do it in Exchange 2010 SP1 as well.

Hi Frank,
That's exactly what I did.
Outlook 2010->Rules wizard->Apply this rule after the message arrives
From DDGname
Move it to the specified folder
The result:
If a member of DDG(From:Sender) send a mail to the recipient, the mail won't be moved to the folder.
----------------------------------
But, if the group is universal DG, the rule works.
I guess it's something to do with DDGs?
Thank you.

Hi,
If you want to move messages sent to a Dynamic Group, you need to create a rule like this:
Apply this rule after messages arrives
sent to "Dynamic Group"
move it to the SomeName folder
A Dynamic Groups doesn't have any members (remember that it's based on a filter) so using "If a member of" will not work

Hi SGryzbowski,
I test it in my lab, and same result as yours.
I think this is by design, the membership list for DDG is calculated each time a message is sent to the group, not on the Outlook side.
