Unanswered Targeting delegates in Room scheduling in Exchange 2010

Hi, I have created a Room mailbox that we're going to use as our office's vacation calendar. Everyone, except the CEO, has to have their vacation approved by their manager.

I have checked the box for everyone to have their requests approved by a delegate and I've listed each of the managers as delegates.

Now, how do I deliver an employees vacation request to the appropriate manager - not all managers?

Can or should I use rules in OUtlook or OWA instead with or without delegates to redirect requests to this calendar?

I've done a lot of reading onthis site as well as the Tech articles and KB but haven't seen this addressed. (I am sure I am not the first to want to do this) and I am Very New to Exchange so please forgive me if I've missed something somewhere and feel free to simply point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks for any assistance.

    Cheers

    Anne

You would need a separate room mailbox for each manager's reports to use.  Don't be surprised if this doesn't work as well as you want it to.  You're trying to use room resources for a different purpose than they were intended for.

    Thanks Ed :)

It does seem like an ideal solution though. Do you have any suggestions? Perhaps Exchange/Outlook isn't the best platform?

    Cheers

You might want to look into SharePoint.
