    Hello All,

What are the number of connections supproted on a Windows NLB Cluster based on Windows Server 2008 R2.  I have CAS Servers NLBed together and users seem to be facing problems with their emails taking alot of time in updating incoming emails or sending outgoing emails in the outlook.  At the same time, if the user logs in and use owa, emails are availble instanly on OWA.  Any thoughts on what might be causing it?

    Thanks ina dvance.

I've started to see issues like this as well, but we go throug a hardware load balancer, not NLB. We also have some issue with outlook initially connecting. Its very random and only seems to effect a few users at a time. We been troubleshooting our client access servers a lot and don't see a smoking gun. Our current theory is that the issues lies with the load that is on the GC's. We'll be installing more memory soon to see if that helps. But i wouldn't mind seeing if anyone else had thoughts on this.

    Hello Geek,

The cause for the issue is due to number of client hits is more in which the server unable to handle the show...Check you have done proper sizing for client connection with the CAS server..

Find the link from Microsoft which provides clear depth detail of calculating connection detail of client with the CAS server ..

Thanks for the reply.  The sizing is proper.  There is enough Memory available with GBPS interface cards.  But, clients are facing problem with lag in performance.

It's only been a couple of days, but finally adding memory to the DC/GC's seem to have made a pretty big difference.
