Hi,
I'm pretty new to Exchange, so is there something you need to configure or do manually once in a while to keep the databases clean?
Like defragmentation etc. to keep the databases from getting corrupted.
How often do I have to do it and How do I do it, andso on?

Hi
Exchange handles all of the basic maintenance tasks automatically so there is very little that you need to take care of outside of normal BAU (errors, alerts, free disk space etc). Take a look at this blog post for more details on the automated maintenance: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2011/12/14/database-maintenance-in-exchange-2010.aspx
