Hi there,
We are trying to install Exchange 2010 in hosted mode with SP2. We made a try with our current AD infrastructure but we cannot create organization.
So I thong I will need to reinstall Exchange, but before, I have some questions in order to know if what we are trying to do is possible.
We have one resources forest and one user forest. It seems it is not supported. We want to use mutli-tenancy.
My first question is , is it possible to install exchange in one domain resources.domain.com on a server that is on the srv.domain.local (srv and resources on the same forest resource forest) for user that are on the usr.domain.com(user forest) ? (trust between forest)
Then, we want to use one edge server on dmz as mail relay to forward mail from internet to internal and vice-versa. Is this scenario allowed?
last, but not least, we want to use one open source mail server in internal and use split domain to forward mail that are not on the excchange server.
Thanks for your help,
BEst regards, Beck7

The layout you are describing is not supported in hosted mode if I remember correctly. You should review the Exchange Team's SP2 Hosting Guidance document here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28192 .- Proposed As Answer by Greg Taylor [msft]Microsoft Employee Monday, June 11, 2012 4:26 PM
