Proposed Answer Certificate for Multi-tenant Exchange

    Hi there,

We are going to implement Exchange 2010 SP2 multi-tenant solution.  We were thinking about using the SAN certificate as with the normal Exchange 2010 system.  But then I found out that because we are using Autodisocover redirection, hence the autodiscover URL in the multi-tenant system do not need to be unique.   This means we can use the same URL for mail and autodiscover in the multi-tenant Exchange system

    e.g.

    mail.abc.com for SMTP

    redirect autodiscover.tenant1.com to mail.abc.com

My questions is what should be the best practice for the certificate in the multi-tenant environment?  Is it ok to use SSL certificate or should we still use the SAN certificate?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Winnie

    hi Winnie ...

i am using SSL certificate only for my domain... and publishing all exchange on proxy and it works like a charm for us .. but the only issue is certificate warning for once when user will connect via autodiscover for first time or OWA cert. warning

    Thanks
