Exchange 2007 SP2 CCR failed to start Services.
Helo All;
I am working on Exchange 2003 Migration to Exchange 2007 SP2.
After installing HUB/CAS 2007 SP2 I started Installing CCR SP2 but it failed to continue since the following error:Event ID 7000
The Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I tried with SP1 and working Fine.
Just i want to ask is 2007 SP2 support CCR.Since i did many things without luck.
I also treid to upgrade CCR SP1 to SP2 but with the same issue and also all the CCR is down now..
Thanks.

- Ahmad,
Yes SP2 is supported on a CCR but to upgrade from SP1 follow the procedures mentioned in the following Technet article:

Ahmad Hashash Microsoft Systems Engineer. MCSA,MCSE,MCTs. Please refer the KBs below to troubleshoot the issue:
The Windows Trace Session Manager service does not start and Event ID 7000 occurs
Thanks James
I followed the above KBs which is related to Registery values and Configuration files without luck.
I found many people suffer from SP2 on CCR.
I am fraid it's something related to SP2 on CCR though microsoft said it supported.I don't think so...
Ahmad Hashash Microsoft Systems Engineer. MCSA,MCSE,MCTs.- I tried to install All roles SP2 on single server and succeeded.but on CCR does not work.
So i don't know...
Ahmad Hashash Microsoft Systems Engineer. MCSA,MCSE,MCTs. Yes, the first KB is to modify the registry key, which is a workaround for such symptom. Have you tried it?
Please follow Dvaid’s post in this thread
Yes James
I tried to increase the Timeout for the service and i increased it to 60000 and also to 120000 but without luck also.
Sorry to say that...
