POP3 Connector for Exchange 2007
- I am upgrading from exchange 2003 to 2k7 and i currently have a pop3 connector for 2k3, but i can't find one that is compatible with 2007. Does anyone know of a way or know of a piece of software that will allow this?

- Hi All
I've finished my install and configurations of most of Windows 2008 Server SP1 with Exchange 2007 SP1.
Is it the same again for Exchange 2007 as it was with Exchange 2003, that only the SBS Exchange include POP3 Connector
to retrieve email form the ISP ?
Please any advice will help. - Yes, another option is change MX records to point to your server and buy service of BACKUP MX :)
Regards - Backup MX to your server is only good if you have redundant Internet connection. No point getting backup MX record that points to the same server as your primary MX - at least if you have backup MX pointing to an account at your ISP, if your connection fails mail sits at your ISP to be retrieved either later on or via some other method. In saying that however, sending mail servers have a series of retry/final timeout values specifying when to retry sending a message and when to finally timeout. Most connections are reliable enough these days that if they do go down, they're fixed and backup within a few hours at most. The ultimate decision, as usual, boils down to cost :-)
- Primary MX record to your server and second (backup) with another service like DynDNS
If you hace redundant connection with 2 or more fixed IP, you can add too
Regards xD - POPcon has a great step-by-step Exchange 2007 configuration guide up: http://www.christensen-software.com/support/config_exchange_2007.htm
