How to share out a public calendar from Exhcange 2007 out to world via web link
We used to be able to make web links for annonymous web users to view public calendars over the web, like this one that used to work for years when we were on Exhcange 2003:
http://tull.biggs.org/public/busd/bhs_calendar/
but now we don't know how to make it work now that we've "upgraded" to exchange 2007. I've read that this is unsopported but we had it working for years before the "upgrade". How do we do it? Do we have to use sharepoint?

- Hi,
Of course, that is also applying to Public calendar. You can refer to the "Publish your calendar on a WebDAV server" in that article, then set the permission as Anonymouse on the IIS.
Thanks

- Probably not possible. Need to have some third party utility to do this.

Raj - Well, Using sharepoint isnt a bad idea as far as you know how to configure it to use the public calendar. Another thing I could recall is about the outlook 2007 feature to share the calendar via a weblink or something like that. Petri has mentioned some tips to configure it you may want to see through.

Just give it in labs first if this works.

- Yes , you are correct Milind, but thats based on client side and not the server side. Probabaly what he is looking for is the server side solution.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't use Outlook 2007 but I can fire one up real quick at work and look at it. In reading the article concerning Outlook "publish a calendar to the web" (which is a link from the article below "Introducion to Internet Calendars") I'm wondering if this would apply to public calendars as well.
Right, I don't want to involve client side, I want to involve server side. We presently have our web server with IIS with ASP suppted, but not php presently. The new exchange 2007 mail server is separate from the web server for our school district. While I'm not the admin of the server,s I can pretty much call the shots and ask our admin from the county to do what we want and need. So what would be the vbest direction to go with? I want public anonymous web users to have read rights to this calendar, and make it a simple link on our school web pages. Don't want them to have to give any credentials. Thanks.
