Site fail over and DAGmaintenance script

Hi, there:
Our Exchange DAG environment: Exchange 2010 SP1+RU5, 2DAG group, one DAG group with 3 member (2 members in main datacenter+1 in DR site), the other DAG group with 2 members (1 in main DC and 1 in DR site),
We are about to test site failover, I know with Exchange 2010 there is a script to gracefully put one member server within DAG group in maintenance mode, my question is: in testing the site failover do I need to run this script to put DAG member server in maintenance mode and then shutdown the server after that, or I just shutdown the DAG member in main datacenter without the need to run this script?

If you are really testing a full site switchover see this:

Datacenter Switchovers
With only 1 DAG Member in the DR site, quorum will be lost. There is no point in this scenario to put any server in maintenance mode.
Make sure you also have implemented DAC Mode
