General DiscussioniPhone 3.0 Notes Sync with Outlook

I was having issues after the 3.0 update with iPhone 3.0 syncing notes with Outlook 2003.  I would receive a message similar to the following. "outlooksyncclient has stopped working" and the sync would continue but the notes would not sync. We are connecting to an exchange server so we are not syncing local information.  Good news is that I saw another post that mentions turning off cached exchange mode. I did that and the notes sync worked. Yippeee!! Downside is that turning cached exchange mode back on results in the OulookSyncClient.exe crashing again.  I wanted to start this discussion so that maybe I could resolve the issue totally and in the meantime could relieve some frustration temporarily for users with the new iPhone firmware update.

This worked for me as well.  I was killing myself trying to figure out why my new IPHONE 3GS was not synching.  Good info.  FYI, Apple Tech support did not know this about Outlook.  Thanks

    Nice work.

Now how to have cached mode on and still sync notes?

Are you talking about the Notes that are attached to the Contacts or the "Outlook Notes"?  I have a user who just got an iphone and is wondering why his "Outlook Notes" aren't showing up, and not the notes attached to the contacts.
