to move copy over windows mail to outlook 2007
- Hi,
can anyone tell me a way to do this - I'd like to copy over if poss contacts, current files inside my folders i.e. inbox, sent items etc and settings if possible, I hope so, otherwise there is a lot to retype etc!

You have to be a lot more precise with what you want others spend their time attempting to help you. Andy gave you a correct answer to your question; then you shouldn't umark it as an answer, just because you come up with new premises. Perhaps this is what you need now:

Hey - If I understand you correctly then you may want to export your mail and contacts, etc. on the old computer to a .pst file.
Put the .pst file on a CD or USB key and copy it onto the new computer. You can then import that .pst file into Outlook on your new computer.
You may also export and import your account settings (account name and password, server names, etc.) if using Outlook 2007 (I believe).
There are caveats including exporting and importing between different versions of Outlook. Google "Export to PST" and then "Import from PST" for loads of examples.

- thank you for your reply, i didnt say it was to another machine, i have basically bought a new pc and wanted to copy all over, any ideas wiht this? sorry if i am being a bit thick!
