    I must effect this change in order for the reverse lookup to work properly according to charter.  I don't know if this is correct or where to begin. I am in the dark of the backwoods of Northern Michigan

    Hi,

    You need to modify the PTR record on the local ISP. Please understand that the receiving server verifies the sending server's IP address and query the PTR record from the DNS, then compare the result to EHLO/HELO command which is sumitted by the sending server (FQDN configured on the SMTP VS).

    Thus, you need to make sure the PTR record is the same as EHLO/EHLO.
