Exchange 2007 rewrites text/plain section of multipart/alternative emails??
- Hello...
Exchange 2007 apparently has some underlying function that rewrites the text/plain section of a multipart/alternative email and substitutes it with the text contained in the text/html section without the html tags. I guess I could see some utility for this but in the cases where the text/plain section is different (by design) from the text/html section it just makes a mess. Changing the POP3 properties of a user's mailbox has no effect.
Is there a way to turn off this function?

Would you please post an example email (eml) here I can check whether I am able to reproduce the issue? In addition, I suggest you enable Pipeline Tracing on the Exchange Server to check whether the text/plain section is changed by Exchange Server:
