I had a problem installing Update Rollup 6 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (KB2746164) which failed with error 80070643 on our Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard. The ServiceControl.log showed this:
[23:38:35] [Error] System.Management.Automation.ParseException: At C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Scripts\ManageScheduledTask.ps1:462 char:5
+ return $success

at System.Management.Automation.Interpreter.EnterTryCatchFinallyInstruction.Run(InterpretedFrame frame)Solution:
The error is caused by an update Windows Management Framework 3.0 released in December 2012 (KB2506146 for Windows 2008 SP2 and KB2506143 for Windows Server 2008 R2) as of December 18, 2012 the update has been expired for all platforms, but for those who have the update installed it can cause different issues including the update failure. This can be resolved by uninstalling the update. After uninstallation your have to reboot the server and Update Rollup 6 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (KB2746164) will install properly. This solution will also work for Windows Small Business Server 2008 Standard.

Hi
If you have installed KB2506143 you will need to uninstall it before you can install 2010 SP2 RU6.

Oh OK. The thread type is "Question" rather than "Discussion" which would imply that you were looking for an answer :-)
Perhaps a moderator could change this.
