Trouble with sending emails to some known recipients, MS Small Biz Server/Exchange 2003
Since last night, I am having trouble sending messages to certain known recipients whom I email routinely. I get an error message as follows:
Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:
recipient@domain
An error occurred while trying to deliver this message to the recipient's e-mail address. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.nameDiagnostic information for administrators:
Generating server: acc-level.domain.com
username@domain.com
#< #5.0.0> #SMTP#Although, some people are able to receive the same emails which otherwise are getting rejected by some recipients. The error message shas a long grayed out text that says "Original message headers:" But unfortunately, I do not understand what it is. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

- Look at the Generating server line, if that is not your server then the email's are being rejected by the receiving company. You probably need to check to see if you have been added to an RBL list.

Will Shepherd - MCSE/MCITP/MCTS (Windows 2008,Exchange 2007,OCS 2007) - Hi Will,
Yesterday, I had a nasty virus/malware infection on one of my other PC's in the small network that I have despite Symanted End Point Protection. There were two things going on at the same time. One rouge software named "Securty Tool" got automatically installed. While this was happening, I also was experiencing constant bombardment of an error message from Symatec Email Proxy written on top indicating that it is not able to send emails to some totally random and unknown recipients using my machine. I am not sure if these two events were interrelated or not.
Symantec Tech Support helped me clean the problem. So far, I have not seen those two things happening again on this machine. However, since then I am noticing this email problem. I suspect, but I am not sure if my domain or email has been sent to the RBL list that you mention. How do I find out if that is the case? If so, can you please guide me how to revert it?
I am also experiencing on the same machine that my Google search is being hijacked. The links are going to some random websites.
Vijay - To narrow down the issue, please try to clean the computer(virus) and then test the issue again.
1. Please try to configure the same account on other working computer and then send email.
2. If we still cannot send email, then please post the whole gray diagnostic log from the error message.
3. Please post the exchange server name here.We need to check the server name with generating server in diagnostic log.
2. Please try to type your exchange server ip address in the following website to check if your Exchange server has been listed in the blacklist. And then return the result here.
