Exchange 2003 - mount foreign message store

Tuesday, April 24, 2012 8:17 PMI had to recreate a 2003 SBS server with Exchange. Unfortunately I misspelled the server name and it can't be changed in SBS. Can I mount the message store from the original server? We only need to get some email from it and won't actually use it as we've moved to Office 365.

Hi
You won't be able to mount an Exchange database from another Org. The only way to recover mail would be to use a 3rd party recovery tool or you could try rebuilding the server with the same name but I'm not sure if that will work.
