Hi,
I have Exchange 2010 installed on Server 2008 R2. For some weird reason I can't get the Exchange System Attendant to start. It keeps stating
" The Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"
I then checked the Event Viewer and it has the following error:
"No authority could be contacted for authentication. ID no: 80090311 Microsoft Exchange System Attendant"
I can't start the Offline Address Book in Exchange because I can't start the System Attendant. Thanks in advance

Historically, that error pointed to a potential NIC issue:
As a starting point, make sure you have the latest drivers for your NICs.

Well, some similar problems in earlier versions were caused by TCP Chimney Offload being enabled. You could try disabling TCP Chimney Offload to see if that makes a difference, but I'm just speculating here.

Any update on the issue Steve?
Have you tried Alexei's suggestion to disable chimney offload?
