I just created a new user account -

assigned domain admin, schema admin and exchange previleges to it and it worked.

The EXACT same permissions that my account has, puzzles me but as long as it works..

Thanks to both you guys for pointing me to possible resolutions.

    Try this:

    1) Make sure that the database is mounted.
    2) Make sure that user can send or receive mail without problems.
    3) Next, try to move other user from 2003 to 2007, but it must reside on another database and another disk.

    Tell us the results.

Agree to Dawy. apart from that make sure you have domain admin rights and your account has got full exchange permission.

    Well,
1> The database is mounted as there are 150 other mailboxes online.
2> The target users can send/receive across the board.
3> I only have exhcnage 2000 to exchange 2007 migrations, for lack of an exchange 2003. The target and resident databases are on different boxes, different datastores and different disks.

I cant figure out what could be wrong, the event log does not show up anything related to this.

    Thanks for the inputs.

In test 3, I said that you can try move one user from another source DB. This should be in different disk as the user base is giving you problems.
    Is it possible?

If not possible you might try a check state of the database with eseutil / G:
