dialog box closes to quickly when I am trying to log on to an exchange server in outlook 2003

When I try to log in to my exchange server using my client based Outlook 2003, a dialog box opens that asks me for my profile. The next dialog box is user name and password. This box only stays open a few seconds until it tries to log in and then pops back up again. It takes me several tries before I am able to get the information in and press the OK button fast enough before I can log in.
How do I fix that so the box stays open until I press the OK button to log in?

Was your mailbox recently moved? Is this Outlook profile in cached mode?
