Migrated address lists not updated?
- When we had Exchange 2003 we got some WMI-defined address list created. E.g. (&(&(&(&....(physicalDeliveryOfficeName=BranchName*))), where lists with BranchName is different for each Branch Office. This works fine now for new users.
However if I change the office field in ADUC, the address lists are not updated to the new Branch office.. I have waited several days for GAL update and doublechecked that the physicalDeliveryOfficeName field of the user is updated, but still he is present at his old branch office address list

- Hi,
I recommend you to use "Filter rules" to create address list.

Hi,
Do you mean tha the address list is based on filter rules? Then please look at the following article first.
The address list or the recipient policy filter is not applied when it is based on group membership or an attribute that the Recipient Update Service is responsible for

Xiu- When changing physicalDeliveryOfficeName of a user, then the object is marked as changed? This has nothing to do with group membership. This seem to be a bug in Exchange 2007? I also see this at several other user objects that are not updated in other office address lists. This typically rarely happens as users rarely changes Office.
If I am incorrect, what attributes are Recipient Update Service responsible for? - How did you change the value on that attribute?
- I edited the user in normal Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Any help would be appreciated.
