We are in the middle of a slow migration of users from our Exchange 2003 server to our new Exchange 2007 server.  We installed Public Folders on the 2007 server.  We have created the SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY Public Folder in the System Public Folder there.  Our Exchange 2007 mailbox users when they get into their Outlook 2007 calendar do not see any free/busy info for any user with a mailbox still on the Exchange 2003 server.  We followed all the Exchange 2007 post installation steps with regards to this correctly, we believe.  We found an article with an Windows XP registry hack that corrects this problem on the Exchange 2007 mailbox Outlook 2007 users PC, but don't want to have to touch each client to apply this.  Has anyone ever seen this and/or know a solution to it?

    Hi Alan,

    Any updates regarding the issue?

From your description, I guess that the Exchange 2007 users are able to retrieve Free/Busy information for Exchange 2007 users by using Outlook 2007. If I am off base, please let me know.

At this time, I suggest you check the Application log on the Exchange 2007 and post related error Event log here. You should get a 4003 event when the issue occurs:

Exchange 2007 Users Unable to See Free/Busy Information for Mailboxes on Exchange 2003 Server

Are the Exchange 2003 and 2007 servers in the same organization?  If so then all you needed to do was replicate the PF's from the Exchange 2003 server over to the 2007 server instead of creating a new set of folders.

    Thanks

As will said, you dont need to create any folder to sync free/busy, you just need to replicate free/busy information to the Exchange 2007 PF. after that check that the exchange 2007 users can see free/busy time using OWA, if they can pf replication is welll. now if outlook 2007 cannot see free/busy time after check that using owa is wrking..this is an autodiscover issue, since Outlook 2007 uses autodiscover for free/busy time and no public folders.
