Error Code 0x80072f7d
Can anyone explain to me why my mobile device will sync fine using activesync when connected to a PC, but when it is using the phones internet connection I get error code 0x80072F7D come up and it refuses to sync. How can I fix this please?

I've fixed this myself. Here are the steps.
1. Go to www.opera.com
2. Download and install Opera Mobile for Windows Pocket PC.
3. Open Opera.
4. Browse to https://www.domainname.com/certsrv
5. Accept security certificate.
You will now find that activesync works without any problems.
Any ideas as to why you can do this in opera and not in Internet Explorer? Seems a little odd! Internet Explorer will happily ask for credentials whereas opera can't handle the request. Perhaps this is something that needs to be worked on? I shouldn't have to install a third-party app to solve an MS problem

(- I having almost the same problem,I talked with my IT guy we made sure that the domain name and username and password are all the same. I'm trying to make my e-mail work with my HTC Imagio (just like the touch pro 2) except i'm running windows mobile 6.5... I have no idea why it won't sync up but i'm getting the same error code as brian jones up there. Support Code 0x80072f7d.I really have no idea what i'm doing. i really liked this post because it seemed like an easy fix compared to all the other searches i've done.Am i just dreaming here, or am i going to have to pay my IT guy a lot of hours to try to figure this out.Because i tried the link above and can't get it to work or ask me to accept the security certificate.can anybody help me?
