AnswerApplication pool worker process is unresponsive

    Hi,
We are running SCOM 2007 R2 with our Exchange 2007 systems, and for both of our CAS Servers (which are running Windows 2008 SP2) I'm getting LOADS of "Application pool worker process is unresponsive" for several of the app pools the Exchange web apps are using.

I can't think of anything "special" about our setup apart from the fact that it is initially set up with a lot less RAM than it has now, as we added ram to these VMs when they were put in production.

Any pointers and tips on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated

    Hi,

Please post the detail error event here.

Please try to run ExBPA to have a health scan and then post the result here.

Please ensure that you have SP2 installed for Exchange Server 2007.

Please try to access mailbox via OWA to see if any error would occur. Please post the error here.

Just to provide a bit more info on this one:
The only event I'm getting in the local event log on the CAS Servers is 5013 WAS.

The error seems to come from two pools, the MSExchangeSyncAppPool and the DefaultAppPool, which on our system hosts the RPC and RPCProxy paths. 90% of the time, it happens on the "MSExchangeSyncAppPool" pool.
