I'm pretty new to exchange. When I started here we already had a working Exchange 2007 SP1 server in the office. I installed a 2nd Exchange 2007 SP1 server at our Co-Location. Our office is connected to the co-location via a 100MB point-to-point VPN connection with no ports blocked. When I installed the 2nd exchange server, I did so using the typical defaults. I have not done anything special to the server, including installing SSL. In both exchange servers, both servers show up just fine in Exchange Management Console.

However, when I try to move a test mailbox from our main exchange server to the new one, I get the message below:

    Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed.
    Elapsed time: 00:00:10

    TestFrank Rivera
    Failed

    Error:
Error was found for TestFrank Rivera (trivera@mydomain.com) because: Error occurred in the step: Preparing mailbox to be moved. Failed to copy basic mailbox information with error: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service could not find the specified object., error code: -1056749241

    Exchange Management Shell command attempted:
    'MyDomain.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/TestFrank Rivera' | move-mailbox -TargetDatabase 'EXCHANGESRV01\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database'

    Elapsed Time: 00:00:10

    Any ideas?

    Hi

From the error code, it seem to be Corruption problem, you can simply try to export the Mailbox in PST and created new mailboxes in Exchange 2007 servers.

    Hopt it helps

    Cheers

Would there still be corruption even though it's a brand new mailbox? Is this suggesting that our database is corrupt?

    Hi

Sorry, I did not notice it is a new Mailbox, So the problem might be Permissions inheritance block on configuration object

Please refer to the steps on the below link
