Routing Emails to different smarthosts
- Hello,
Please consider the following example:
I have 1 Exchange 2003 server with three users in my domain foobar.com (user1@foobar.com, user2@foobar.com, user3@foobar.com). I also have two smarthosts from my ISP that I can use to have my Exchange server deliver email (smarthost1.isp.com and smarthost2.isp.com).
Is it possible to have user1@foobar.com and user2@foobar.com outbound emails flow through smarthost1.isp.com. And User3@foobar.com outbound emails flow through smarthost2.isp.com?

- The smart host configuration is done on the SMTP connector in exchange 2003. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Configuring-SMTP-Connector.html
You can try putting the names on the Delivery Restrictions field you can specify from which Recipients you accept and reject messages. ".

Delivery restrictions did the trick, but only after I applied this KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/277872. Without that KB applied, the delivery restrictions are ignored and the first SMTP connector is applied.
