    Hello all,

I have not been able to get mail to flow between my new Exchange 2007 SP2 server and the old 2003 SP2 server. When I attempt to create the RGC's, I get this error:

New-RoutingGroupConnector : Home routing group is not defined for server "MAIL"

I cannot find a reason or reference to this error and I have no errors to speak of in the event veiwer.

Please let us know the topology of exchange servers. e.g. same org or different, multiple Routing groups, your routing groups structure, etc. and Post full cmdlet which you are using to create routing group.

    Thanks.

    Hi Butch,

    Any update regarding the issue?

Regarding your problem, would you please let me know:

    1. Whether the Exchange 2003 and 2007 are installed in the same organization?

    2. If yes, please let me know whether both Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 users cannot send email each other.

    3. Whether any NDR message is received when the issue occurs or the message stuck in the queue

    4. If any NDR message is received, please post related message here for further check.

    5. If the message stuck in the queue, please let me know the “Additional Queue Information (for Exchange 2003)” or “LastError (for Exchange 2007)”

    6. Please check Application log on the Exchange Server and post related event here.

    7. Please also run ExBPA to fix related problem.

    Hi,

I did finally get this solved a couple of days ago. The ultimate problem was a smart host entered into my SMTP virtual server, that I had forgotten was there. I overlooked it for some time because I had an SMTP connector setup with my smarthost information so there was no effect when I removed it thinking that would fix the problem.

Thanks for your efforts in helping me with this.

    Butch
