exchange 2007 and Cisco CUCM 7.1
- Have situation with an existing OCS Exchange 2007 UM install integrated via a secure dial plan within the configuration of the exhcnage UM dial plan settings.
Does anyone know if this type of secure connection is supported or ever been done to Cisco CUCM? We are trying to add the Cisco PBX into the mix.
The Cisco SIP trunk has the ability to do TLS and has various settings for security. Just not having any luck finding specifics on this.
Second question is related to the user configs. Due to the fact that the users are associated to a mailbox policy which is in turn associated with a secure dial plan, users on the Cisco side that access exchange (via a new dial plan and mailbox policy - unsecure) are not recognized when they pass their 4 digit as they are prompted with the open tree greet instead of "enter your pin". This is due to the mailbox policy association and up the tree to dial-plan, and the gateway associated to dial plan.
I would like to know if i change the setting of the dial plan to non-secure if this would allow me to leverage the existing mailbox policy in place with all users as if not i'll have to change each users mailbox policy from OCS to cisco.
Just would like to have least administrative effort here given the opportunity to just change the current config from secure to unsecure and be done with it. Are there any affects of trying this - in changing from secure to unsecure and if it works i'm good and then put it back? Just want to test to see if this work and don't want to break production.
Given that if i am unable to do this ismple change is there a way to bulk edit each users mailbox policy and change them all?

- Hi Paul,
Previous version of CUCM TLS between Exchange and CUCM wasnt possible due to incompatibilities in TLS implemnetations. Not to sure about 7.1 but I doubt it.
Cisco have never released documentation in regards to this but you will require a seperate dial plan in Exchange that is unsecured just for CUCM and another one that is secured for OCS. you will also require seperate subscriber access numbers for the new dial plan.
Here is the MS document for CUCM 5.1 integration into exchange. Hope it helps
