QuestionUM Codec

    Hi,

We have changed the voice mail codec setting on a mailbox from .wma to G.711 using the command set-UMMailbox <user mailbox name> -CallAnsweringAudioCodec g711 and the user now gets a .wav file instead of a .wma file whenever a voice mail is left for him.

The problem we have however is that when someone replies to one of his emails using outlook voice access he gets a .wma file. Is it possible to change this also so that he gets a .wav file like he does when someone leaves a voice mail? I know I can change the setting globally on the dial plan, however I want to do this on a per user basis.

If it is possible what is the shell command I need to run?

    Many Thanks

I would try the latest service pack for Exchange.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

We have SP2 installed. I think maybe Outlook voice access does not check the audiocodec property for the user the the mail is being sent to.

Does anyone have this working ?
