How to open .tiff files in Office 2010?

    Question

  • Hello

I have been using Microsoft Imaging for as long as I can remember for scanning and saving my .tiff files.

Now that I have installed Office 2010, I see that the Imaging is not available or at least very difficult to find.

Can someone direct me to it please?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Andre,

You do not need to use Office to open this type of files.

You can download the TIFF view from the link below:

    http://www.tiffviewer.com/

Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can open the .tiff files by Windows live Photo Gallery.

    Best Regards,

  • Thank You Sally!

It is a bit disappointing that Microsoft has dropped support for it since I was using the Imaging and Scanning tool a lot and converting it to this format.

Anyway, pdf is the new standard for me now.
