Install FullText Search SQL Server 2012 on Windows Server Core

  • Hi,

    I try to add SQL Server FullText to our SQL Server 2012 on a Windows Server 2008R2 Core but i got this error in

    I executed "setup.exe  /QS /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=FullText"

    from C:\...\Setup Bootstrap\SQLServer2012

    also tried from original installation folder, with configuration.ini but get same result.

    Some more info:

    OS: Windows Server 2008R2 Core

    SQL: SQL Server 2012 Standard SP1 CU5

  • Hello,

    That error may be related to a corrupted media. Please download the media again, copy it to a local disk drive, uncompress the content of the ISO file, and run setup from there.

    i downloaded the .iso-file again and after this i was able to install FT-Search on our SQL Server.
